📖 About Replit Auth

Authentication is a critical part of building web applications, but generating auth code with Replit Agent has been challenging for many users. Manual authentication setup is not only time consuming but can also create security vulnerabilities.

Replit Auth provides an improved experience by integrating authentication directly through the Replit platform.

• Simple and secure authentication setup for your agent apps
• Enable users to access your apps using their Replit accounts
• Make use of Replit's social sign-in options (Google, GitHub, etc.)
• Support for email/password log in and forgot password without having to set up your own email provider.

🍎 Getting Started with Replit Auth

1. Turn on explorer mode:

   1. To add yourself to the Explorer group, visit the Roles section in your Account settings.

      

2. Create a new agent app as you normally would

3. Ask the agent to “Use Replit Auth”, mentioning the feature name explicitly.

4. Try the new authentication system out!
